Maureen Ashe

Maureen has worked predominantly in rehabilitation and the treatment of hand injuries. She became a certified hand therapist in 1999 and completed her PhD in 2005. Maureen Has been very involved in the physiotherapy association at a provinicial and national level.
Jane Hicks
BSR(PT/OT), CHT, MCPA
Hands, Certified Hand Therapist
Jane graduated from the University of British Columbia, School of Rehabilitation Medicine, in 1977 with a combined degree in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. She has worked since then in orthopedics including in-patient, rehabilitation and out-patient settings. Her practice has focused on hand and upper extremity rehabilitation for 20 years. As a Certified Hand Therapist (1995) Jane has clinical experience with burn injuries as well as traumatic and acquired conditions of the upper extremity. She has been involved in teaching students and colleagues about aspects of Hand Therapy and is currently Vice President of the West Coast Hand Therapy Association.
David Irvine
BScPT, CHT, MCPA
Hands, Acupuncture, Certified Hand Therapist
David is a graduate of Dalhousie University, physiotherapy class of 1981. He has many years experience treating orthopaedic injuries working in an outpatient department at a large teaching hospital and in private practice. He obtained his Certification in Acupuncture in 1988 from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. Since moving to Vancouver in 1997, David has worked mostly in the area of hand therapy. In 1999 he became a Certified Hand Therapist and continues to treat a range of hand problems, from repetitive strain injuries to acute trauma.
Cheryl Megalos
BScPT, RCAMT, MCPA
Orthopaedics (completed Part A orthopedic level)
Cheryl received her Physiotherapy degree in 1994, from the University of British Columbia. Her past experience includes working with a team of kinesiologists and occupational therapists in work hardening and pain management programs. Since 1998 she has worked in private practice in Vancouver, and on Vancouver Island. During this time, she furthered her post graduate training and completed studies in manipulative therapy. She is a Resident of the Canadian Manipulative Therapists, part of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Currently, she employs manual therapy skills, postural, ergonomic and proprioceptive training to assist individuals with spinal and peripheral disorders in their recovery from injury and dysfunction. Cheryl also provides treatment for individuals post mastectomy.
Clare Palmer
BScPT, CHT, MCPA
Hands, Orthopaedics, Certified Hand Therapist
Clare graduated as a physiotherapist from East London University 1992. A Certified Hand Therapist with 12 years hand therapy experience, she is skilled in treating upper extremity injuries, both acute trauma and chronic overuse. Clare also has a lot of experience in the assessment and treatment of orthopaedic sports injury, musician overuse injuries and arm and shoulder care after a lumpectomy or mastectomy. Clare teaches hand therapy skills to University of British Columbia Master-level entry physiotherapy students.
Sid Raddalgoda
BScPT, CHT, MCPA

Sid is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, physiotherapy class of 1996. Sid's clinical interests include sports medicine management of athletes, core stability programs, and upper extremity injuries. He became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2001. Sid uses manual therapy skills in combination with customized exercise programs to rehabilitate his patients. He is a musician and athlete, which broadens his clinical experience.
Maritess Tolentino
BScOT, CHT, OTR
Certified Hand Therapist, Work Site Assessments
Maritess is a graduate of the School of Occupational Therapy from Dalhousie University in Halifax. Since graduation in 1996, she has worked within various rehabilitation programs for musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, and after head injury. Maritess is trained and experienced in worksite and ergonomic assessments, as well as in functional capacity evaluations. Maritess has been a Certified Hand Therapist since 2002 and currently works providing individualized treatment for work-related injuries and splint fabrication.
Maria Zerjav
BScPT, MCPA
Orthopaedics, TMJ Disorders
Maria received her BSc in Psychology in 1984 and Physiotherapy in 1987 from Dalhousie University. She has worked in private practice in Vancouver since 1990, and has owned and operated two clinics from 1994 - 2005. Currently, she focuses her work at Westside Physiotherapy and Hand Clinic, where she continues to manage the clinic and practices clinically. Her main areas of clinical practice include the treatment of temporomandibular disorders (TMD/TMJ) and spinal disorders (neck and back).
